I am Dr. Enilda Romero-Hall, an
award-winning
scholar, associate professor, and coordinator of the Learning, Design, and Technology Ph.D. concentration at
The University of Tennessee Knoxville

In my research, I explore digital literacy, networked learning, critical digital pedagogy, and the practice of
learning design in context
. I am the author of the forthcoming book
Learning Designers in Context
(Routledge, 2026) and the editor of
Research Method in Learning Design and Technology
(Routledge, 2021). In addition, I am co-editor of
Feminist Pedagogy for Teaching Online
(Athabasca University Press, 2025)
and serve as an editor for the accompanying digital guide
. At UTK, I
am also an active member of the
UTK Latinx/e Engagement Community of Scholars
